About me:

👋 Hi there! I’m Jack Watson. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I’m a BFA Film and Television student at Louisiana State University, looking for any excuse to create and inspire.

Independent filmmaking done fast, easy, and right. I work with creators to ensure we provide results that align with customers’ unique, original creative vision. From producing to editing, I bring your ideas to life with gusto and precision, while leaving room for creativity to flourish. Excelling in crafting emotionally resonant narratives through extensive planning, organization, and high attention to detail.

I’m primarily an Editor, but I’ve worked almost every role on a professional set, and I’m very familiar with the responsibilities associated with each. I’m very adaptable in that sense; once, I had to work over ten crew roles at once spanning multiple departments because none of my peers wanted to work graveyard hours. I offer an element of precise organization and forethought to a film set, with a unique ability to prepare for the worst. The first set I ever worked on was a short film where not a single actor or crew member knew their lines or how to do their jobs. I predicted this and assembled video playlists detailing each of their responsibilities ahead of time, which made teaching the cast and crew take only 20 minutes instead of hours wasted on set. As much as I love being on set, my true passion is in the editing room. Someday, I hope to advance my editing skills into the third dimension of post-production using CGI. I hope to eventually work in visual effects for a major studio, as I’ve always found computer graphics fascinating ever since my uncle showed me how to do 3D tracking as a high schooler. If you know of any productions that might need an editor or any miscellaneous roles filled, I’m always happy to learn and I’d love to gain the experience.
